FLYBALL

Colorado flyball teams will hold short flyball demonstrations throughout the day.  Flyball consists of a relay race between two teams of four dogs.  At the command of its handler, each dog is sent over four hurdles to the flyball box.  When the dog triggers the flyball box, a tennis ball is released for the dog to catch.  The dog then returns over the hurdles to the handler with the ball.  An average time for a team race is 20 seconds!

Flyball team members will assist the public in trying out the flyball equipment with their dogs.  Paws at Play tickets for this event are available at the announcers table for $2.00 each.

***Please keep in mind, for your dogs’ safety, you will be assisted by a flyball member and, if you have not had experience with flyball equipment, the ball will be tossed by a team member and not launched from the box.

OBEDIENCE

Members of The Dog Club will put on short obedience demos in the tidbit ring.  See times at the registration table.

FRISBEE

Members of Colorado Disc Dog will be putting on some amazing demonstrations throughout the day.

Vendors: Once again we will have a variety of pet related vendors so that you can reward your teammate with a special treat or toy.

Door Prizes: Remember to register for a door prize when you pick up your entry packet!

*~*~*~*~*~  RETURNING BY POPULAR DEMAND ~*~*~*~*~*

Paws at Play

For those who miss registration deadlines or just wish to play a few games again: we will be offering Paws at Play tickets.  These tickets are valid at any game you wish to play except for the Marathon Down & Tidbit Catch.  Dogs and handlers signed up for a competition level will run ahead of Paws at Play ticket holders so that awards tallying and presentation will not be delayed.  For the best price on tickets please pre-register.

Games played with Paws at Play tickets will not be officially scored and will not be competing for awards and prizes.

We would like to say Thank You to the Colorado Disc Dogs.  The members of this group have given us their time each year to run the Frisbee ring at Doggie Olympics.   If you would like to see some spectacular team work, stop by the Frisbee ring.  There you will find periodic demonstrations of Frisbee skill throughout the day.

We would also like to say Thank You to  Superfly Allstars for organizing all the volunteers and supplying the equipment so that the public may get a taste of flyball.  Bring your earplugs and come watch some flyball demos put on throughout the day.
