What is LAPP?

Larimer Animal People Partnership (LAPP) is an umbrella organization for animal therapy teams certified through Pet Partners or ATD. We care deeply about people, animals and our community. As an organization our goals are to:

Promote awareness and education regarding the human animal bond
The human-animal bond is a mutually beneficial and dynamic relationship between people and animals that is influenced by behaviors that are essential to the health and well-being of both. This includes, but is not limited to: emotional, psychological and physical interactions of people, animals, and the environment.

Be a source of education and information
We strive to enrich the lives of people in our community by sharing our animals and ourselves through community visits to libraries, schools, hospitals, care facilities, and more. We promote LAPP through booths at community events, workshops and educational seminars. We also offer team evaluations for Pet Partners.

Support other like-minded community organizations
Through networking efforts and donations we support other community organizations that value the human animal bond.

Be ambassadors for responsible pet care in our community
The Doggie Olympics, our annual fundraiser was created to foster the bond between humans and their canines. We also hold ourselves out to be role models for responsible and humane pet care.
