LAPP offers quarterly Pet Partners Evaluations.

2017 Evaluations Schedule:

  • Sunday, November 19

We offer LAPP practice evaluations the month before the Pet Partners evaluations for those who are planning on evaluating. The practice evaluations are free for LAPP members and cost $10 for non-LAPP members. These practice evaluations are a good opportunity to determine what skills may need improvement or require additional training.

LAPP's next practice evaluation will be on Saturday, November 4 from 9:00 AM to 11:15 AM at Come, Play, Stay - 3801 South Mason, Fort Collins. Space is limited, please RSVP via email to Deb at dogladydeb@aol.com.

The Pet Partners Team Evaluation process evaluates how the animal/handler team works together to handle many different types of interactions with others. There are two main areas of focus.  How well the handler interprets and manages their animal, showing control from both ends of the leash, and how well the animal responds to the handler and to the people they are interacting with under several varied situations. The emphasis being that the Handler and Animal work as a team and actually enjoy the interactions with others.

LAPP has Pet Partners-licensed team evaluators. We offer handler team evaluations quarterly.
